At Drysdale Lighting we can assist our customers in the lighting design process by providing lighting analysis specific to the application of our luminaires.  For the past 10 years we have used Lighting Analysts Lighting Software.  We were there from the very beginning - when the program was a rudimentary DOS program.  Today the program is a rich 32 bit application that allows for comprehensive calculations, modeling, and high-quality rendering for almost any interior or exterior environment.
 
AGI32’s innovative day lighting calculations allow us to consider natural light contribution in interior and exterior environments. Analyze the day lighting contribution for one particular date and time or use AGI32’s breakthrough Daylight Study feature to look at multiple dates and times for a single site.
 
AGI32 allows us to import native DWG format CAD files. Along with the DWG import, AGI32 can extract 3Dface entities, allowing us to use 3D models created in other CAD software programs. This capability dramatically increases the types of environments we are able to accurately light!

Project Analysis
 

This Retirement Facility is like many other existing projects - dimly illuminated with mostly decorative incandescent lantern type luminaires and lower-end incandescent surface wall luminaires, most of which had seen better days.

The areas of primary concern were the parking areas, gazebo, surrounding sidewalks and pathways, a shuffleboard area, patio lounging area, primary and secondary entranceways, general security lighting and landscape floodlighting.  The lamp sources used in this study were high-pressure sodium, amalgam gas compact fluorescent and quartz halogen.
